Abstract:

In this paper, we acquired Taekwondo motion data using motion capture technology and conducted realistic and abstract visualization studies of the motion data. The motion expression techniques was composed of four stages of character, mesh, skeleton and joint visualization according to the degree of realism to abstraction. The Unity game engine was used to create interactive content that can visualize Taekwondo movements in real time with various expression methods. According to the expression method, the audience's opinions on the four perspectives of understanding, creativity, aesthetics, and interaction were surveyed and analyzed.

Keywords –body motion, game engine, interactive visualization, motion capture.
