Abstract:

 

The present paper considers a mathematical model of the process of volumetric induction heating of cylindrical pieces in a cylindrical inductor. The model is based on a machine for volumetric induction heating of R–ITO–630/1–A–L type with a SMK UB 2F2 power source. The inductor equivalent parameters have been calculated. To verify the results obtained from the model, a 2D model has been built in Comsol Multiphysics.
