Abstract:

The rise of globalization has highlighted the issue of internationalization of quality assurance in education. The COMPASS-OK software application for (self) assessment and accreditation, developed at the Plovdiv University, maintains features for modeling of methods and procedures for quality assessment of education. Its successful application has raised the idea of extending it as a universal tool developed on the basis of cloud services – a tool which provides services to ensure the quality of education for educational institutions and accreditation agencies from around the world. This article offers a conceptual framework and discusses the advantages and benefits of such a development.

Keywords – quality assurance in higher education as a service, evaluation of the quality in higher education, quality assurance in the cloud.
